DANCE takes centre stage at The Brunton in Musselburgh.

Saturday sees Dance Discovery perform in the theatre at both 2pm and 6pm.

A collection of pupils from Dunbar, Leith and Loanhead, ranging from two years up to teenagers, will be showing off their moves.

They have been working hard on this show to show off their new and exciting dances.

The first half is based on the Disney movie Maleficent and Sleeping Beauty.

The second half is a variety showcase.

Then, on Tuesday, there is some classic entertainment in venue 2 at 1pm.

Catch up with friends over soup and a sandwich in the upstairs bar from noon, followed by an hour of classical music from 1pm.

Susan Tomes plays Beethoven’s A flat major sonata opus 110, with examples played and explained before she gives a complete performance of the work.

The concert opens with some of Beethoven’s charming Bagatelles.

There is something for film fans the next day, so get some popcorn and head along to Venue 1 at 7.30pm.

Interstellar, directed by Christopher Nolan, stars Matthew McConaughey, Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway, Topher Grace and Wes Bentley as a team of explorers travel to discover if mankind has a future among the stars.

And rounding off another busy week is The Pine Tree, Poggle and Me next Thursday (February 5).

It is a funny, sensory dance theatre piece for ages 0-3, with live music, clapping rhythms and bubble popping throughout.

Vince wants to explore the forest but he’s too scared to go on his own until one day he meets Poggle, a friendly creature who takes him on an adventure exploring the forest and the magical musical tree. Show times are 11.30am and 2pm.
