Use hotels in Brighton as a base for shopping trips

While some people visit the world's most famous cities in order to view the impressive landmarks and to see the famous attractions, many others like nothing more than a day or two in which to enjoy some good old-fashioned retail therapy. And when it comes to shopping, there is a city in Sussex that offers something for everyone in its busy streets.

One look at the web reveals a huge range of accommodation options located right in the heart of the city. If you're planning to do some serious shopping while you're staying there you'll be delighted to know the choice of stores, boutiques and market stalls is one of the most comprehensive to be found anywhere in the UK.

One of the most popular areas of all is The Lanes, an intricate warren of narrow walkways that lie close to the seafront. Here you'll find a stunning array of independent jewellery stores, quirky fashion emporiums and tempting bistros, and all within a stone's throw of some of the finest hotels in Brighton and anywhere else along England's south coast.

In the heart of the commercial district, you'll also find just about all the major chain stores you'd expect to see in an English city, and they're all within easy walking distance of the beach. There are plenty of family hotels in Brighton, so it's good to know play areas for the children and shopping amenities for the adults are all in a highly convenient location.

Getting around is easy in this beautiful city thanks to an efficient bus network, so if you're in the mood for the spectacular views out to sea from Rottingdean or perhaps an afternoon of excitement at the racecourse, it's simple to do as you please. And there are direct trains to London if you fancy a trip to the capital.
