Tranent bounce back to defeat Dunbar

Musselburgh Athletic 6 v 0 Tranent Juniors, Dunbar United 2 v 3 Tranent Juniors

Tranent rounded off their League Cup fixtures on Monday evening at Dunbar with an impressive 3-2 win. A confidence-boosting victory in time for their South Division opener tomorrow against Dalkeith Thistle.

The victory came just two days after they were overwhelmed by Musselburgh Athletic at Olive Bank.

Tranent boss Brian Johnston was understandably far from pleased at such a heavy defeat. But he will no doubt bear in mind that his side won’t encounter teams of Musselburgh’s quality in the South Division.
