Tranent lose to West Calder
Tranent Juniors 1 v 2 West Calder United
There wasn’t a great deal at stake in this match for either Tranent or West Calder, who are both likely to finish in the lower half of the South Division.
The visitors took the opportunity to introduce a number of trialists, with three starting and another trio on the bench.
Crossan gave the visitors a 13th minute lead with an excellent finish to Reid’s cross.
Tranent drew level midway through the first half when a Dan McFarlane corner was superbly volleyed past the United keeper Greig by Ryan Gibb.
From then on, it was a fairly evenly-matched, end of season affair.
But Dunsmore’s 53rd minute goal for United proved enough to secure the three points for the visitors.
