Fauldhouse United 3 v 0 Dunbar United

Prospects of a surprise victory were dashed after only 27 seconds in this South Division clash last Saturday.

A long ball out of defence fell kindly for home striker Dolan, who shot low into the bottom corner.

Fauldhouse doubled their lead after 17 minutes when Dolan notched his second.

There were few opportunities for Dunbar to get back into the game, and they suffered a blow when Droudge dislocated his right knee late in the first half. Stuart Robertson replaced the assistant manager at half-time.

Dunbar began the second half positively, with Robertson, Hampshire and Ryan Grant all trying their luck early on.

But the Seasiders received a blow just four minutes after the restart, when Meechan slammed a loose ball into the net after Ferrier had saved Smith’s powerful angled drive from the left.
