Two late goals seal Burgh win
Kinnoul 1 v 3 Musselburgh Athletic
IN the first half, the strong wind favoured the home side in this Premier Division match.
Kinnoull looked dangerous from set-pieces and they went ahead three minutes from the interval, when the Burgh defence failed to clear a crossball and top scorer Holden took advantage.
Although one goal behind at the break, a terrific second half performance saw Burgh ease to a comfortable victory, and their three goal haul might have been doubled if they had taken their chances.
There was a brief scare when Gordon put the ball in the visitors’ net, but he was ruled offside.
The equaliser came with an hour played. A great move, in which Osazuwa and Chris King were prominent, finished with the latter passing across the box to his namesake Mathu King, who struck his first goal for the club from six yards out.
Chance after chance was created by a Burgh team on top form, but they had to wait until the 85th minute before they took one of them. Chris King netted his 22nd goal of the season with a trademark effort from 20 yards that curled its way beyond home keeper Bruce.
A third goal with two minutes left did not flatter Burgh. Paul Tansey rounded off an impressive display with a first-time effort that gave Bruce no chance.
