Haddington Athletic 1 v 0 Livingston United, Dalkeith Thistle 0 v 1 Haddington Athletic

The Hi Hi were back in South Division action last Saturday against Livingston after a three week gap.

After a slow start, Haddington soon began to enjoy more possession, but their passing and, in particular, their final ball left a lot to be desired.

In the second half, Haddington were by no means at their best and there was little fluency to their play. But they made the breakthrough after 66 minutes when Finlayson delivered a great cross to the back post and Slight was waiting to send a downward header into the net.

Monday evening’s visit to Dalkeith Thistle promised to be equally difficult and so it was to prove.

Thistle were unlucky several times early on. In the second half the Hi Hi had more of the game. but they were lacking in front of goals.

With more than a minute of injury time played the visitors snatched all three points, Robert Greenaway claiming the credit for prodding the ball over the line from a corner.
