Juniors Round-up
Two South Division fixtures in East Lothian last Saturday brought victory for the county sides, but in contrasting circumstances.
Dunbar United were 4-1 up on West Calder United at New Countess Park, but two late goals from the visitors meant a nervy finish and seven goals in total. At Millfield, Haddington Athletic took a long time to break down Livingston United to win by a solitary goal.
On Monday evening, the Hi Hi claimed another three vital points at Dalkeith, courtesy of Robert Greenaway’s 91st minute goal.
Tranent Juniors beat Dunbar in a local derby at Foresters Park, again by the only goal.
Tomorrow (Saturday) Dunbar host Scottish Junior Cup finalists Bathgate Thistle in a Fife & Lothians Cup quarter final, and another of West Lothian’s Superleague giants, Linlithgow Rose, visit Haddington for a Brown Cup second round tie.
Musselburgh Athletic, whose slim Premier League promotion hopes were ended with a 2-1 defeat at champions elect Bo’ness United last Friday, travel to Perth to meet Kinnoull. Tranent host Blackburn United.
