The Jock Brodie Trophy is down to the last four stage.

But there is no county interest after both East Lothian A and B failed to qualify for their respective sections.

East Lothian IBC’s young star Fraser Pringle was an unlucky loser at the recent Henselite Richard Corsie Junior Challenge finals held at Midlothian IBC.

Despite winning two of his three section matches , East Lothian failed to qualify for the final on shots scored.

Three of the four players finished on four points each and all three had an identical shots difference.

The decision therefore had to be based on the amount of shots acquired over the three games.

The result was close, but Pringle had scored three shots less than eventual winner Connor Milne from Garioch IBC.

The East Lothian youth side that had to settle for runners-up spot last Sunday at the Midlothian IBC Youth Tournament.
