North Berwick 25 v 0 Penicuik

Penicuik, who had lost only four games this season, dominated the early play of this East Division One match.

However, the home side were awarded a penalty after 15 minutes and Craig Lauder slotted the kick to open the scoring.

On the half-hour, Scott broke down the right and executed the perfect chip and chase to score an excellent try and increase the lead.

The first half was almost at end when Bhrian Buchanan found Grant Craig, who scored in the corner to make the half time score 13-0.

Fifteen minutes into the second half, North Berwick produced the try which would put the game out of reach.

Danny Thorburn took the ball from 35 metres out and burst through to score. Lauder kicked a fine conversion.

With 10 minutes left, Lauder used his pace to break a tackle to score the final try.

This capped what was one of North Berwick’s best performance of the season.
