Killie striker quizzed on Hibs move
UNDEFEATED Musselburgh Grammar School’s under-14 football side received a New Year boost with a new set of strips and a visit from former player and Kilmarnock striker Colin Nish.
And midfielder Hamish Hunter wasted no time in asking the 6ft 3in hitman about his rumoured move to Hibs in the transfer window this month.
But Nish diplomatically side-stepped the question by saying he was enjoying his football with Kilmarnock at this time.
Nish, 26, who supported Hibs as a boy, is out of contract with Kilmarnock at the end of the season, and talks with his booyhood heroes have been scheduled for this week after becoming their number one target.
Local firm ZOT Engineering supplied the strips for the Grammar boys who remain unbeaten in the East & Mid Lothian schools league.
Veteran team manager Scott Robertson, who also coached Nish at the school, said: “John Leask and ZOT Engineering have been supporting schools football for many years now and they have shown a long-lasting commitment to the young people in Musselburgh.”
