Great Spott for tourists

Printer Print Article

A new tourist information point has been located near the ASDA supermarket at Spott Road roundabout outside Dunbar to serve as an information gateway for visitors entering East Lothian from the south.

The mobile information point is manned by two trained guides from Visit Scotland and offers advice and a comprehensive range of free publications about East Lothian and its attractions.

Tourism spokesman Councillor Paul McLennan said: "This is an excellent facility handily placed alongside a filling station just off the A1 which should prove especially popular with visitors entering East Lothian from the south. It is an important part of our tourism strategy that we capture tourists passing through the county and persuade them to stay a while and enjoy the many attractions we have to offer."
