Big day for kids of gala court
A TOTAL of 28 lucky youngsters will be joining Tranent Gala Queen Lyn Ramsay, and her consort Calum Scott, both aged 11, on stage at the crowning ceremony in the Loch Centre on Sunday.
Gala Day launches a week of fun events and activities for all the family .
The royal court comprises – maids: Kirsty Clark, Leanne Montgomery, Hannah Gray, Annalee Connolly and Kirsten Kilday. Heralds: Kallan Glynn, Keiran Turnbull, Kris Edgar, Jordan Kennedy and Michael Carr. Flower girls: Teigan Logan, Samara Jo Haynes, Amy Turnbull, Shanise Hogg, Lauren Jack and Megan Stevenson. Page boys: Zack Anderson, Jason Pattison, Liam Stevenson, Rhys James, Shaun Dick and Owen Golightly. Fairies: Sophie Johnston, Niamh Renwick, Molly Wise, Callie Maitland, Chloe Steele and Chloe English.
The gala committee is holding a car boot sale and coffee morning at St Martin’s car park tomorrow (Saturday), from 10am to 2pm, as a final fundraiser for the gala week. To book a pitch, phone 07912859976.
Committee chairman Tom Logan also thanked Carlaverock Residents’ Association and St Martin’s Mens’ Guild for donating £1,000 and £150 respectively, towards Tranent’s gala celebrations.
