Boy, 8, charged with assault on teacher

AN EIGHT-YEAR-OLD boy has been charged with assaulting a teacher.
The alleged assault took place at Prestonpans Primary School on March 5.
Prestonpans community leaders were informed of the incident by community PC Greg McBeth at a meeting on Tuesday.
A Lothian and Borders Police spokesman said: “A teacher at Prestonpans reported an assault by a pupil and an eight-year-old male was subsequently charged with assault.
“A report has been sent to the Children’s Panel Reporter.”
