Bus shelter in firing line
MUIRPARK residents are invited to have their say on a ‘nuisance’ bus shelter.
An open meeting is being held next week of the Muirpark Tenants and Residents Association when locals will be asked for their views on whether the bus shelter has become more of a liability than an asset.
The association has been researching the possibility of removing the bus shelter, where, it claims, youths regularly congregate and misbehave.
Chairwoman Karen Carr told the Courier: “We will conduct a simple ‘yes or no’ survey for people to put forward their views on the bus shelter. The turnout at the last few meetings has been fantastic so we’re hopeful that people will keep coming along to have their say.”
The meeting will be held on Tuesday, at the Loch Centre, Tranent, at 7pm.
Other issues lined up for discussion include anti-social behaviour and traffic problems.
