STAFF and volunteers at Tranent’s Recharge Centre are preparing to hold a ‘Family Fun Day’ to raise awareness of the work carried out there.

The youth centre’s inaugural event, on Sunday July 20 at Polson Park, will include bouncy castles, tug ‘o’ war tournaments, live music by local youth band Blindspot and adult rock band Stagefright, among others.

A range of games, refreshments and stalls will be lined up for visitors of all ages.

Recharge development manager Alan Bell said: “There will also be information and advice stalls from various local agencies on the day (taking place between 12 noon and 4pm).”

Anyone interested in signing up to help out on the day can contact Recharge on 01875 615415. Alternatively, they could pay a visit to the Church Street centre and chat with staff.
