INNERWICK Primary School has been recognised by East Lothian Council education chiefs, after becoming the 1,000th school to join online education network Edubuzz.

Innerwick is the latest county primary school to set up an official school website on the network, which can be used by parents, pupils and staff to share experiences and information about school events and projects.

For example, P7 class teacher Lindy Lynn and her pupils will use the website to reflect on their time at Innerwick Primary, before heading to secondary school in August.

Education convener, Councillor Peter Mackenzie, presented the school with a certificate to mark the milestone last Wednesday and congratulated Innerwick for “a really interesting project”.

“Edubuzz is a really wonderful way for parents, pupils and staff to engage with what’s happening in education locally and across the country,” he said.
