THERE was no denying that Ross High School’s ‘got talent’ after pupils took the stage to display their own particular gifts in front a packed audience of parents, fellow pupils and staff last Friday.

It was the first time the Well Wynd school had run a talent contest and there was a range of class acts, including a strong-man, rock bands and energetic dance routines!

‘Celebrity’ DJ host Mark Martin judged the performers and said: “I have never seen a show like it.

“The kids taking part excelled in their performances and the audience feedback was amazing.”

Singer Abbie Martin was named the winner of the competition, in which more than 20 pupils took part.

The competition was held as part of the school’s re-introduced house system, aimed at rewarding pupils’ achievements in a number of events throughout the school year.

A school spokesman said: “We are extremely keen to celebrate the success of our young students in and out of school.”
