Baby is locked in car
FIREFIGHTERS raced to Dunbar on Saturday to free a baby trapped in a car.
The baby, whose age and sex were not revealed, became stuck in the vehicle at Steadings Gardens at 2.30pm after playing with car keys and pressing the remote central locking button – locking their parent outside.
Attempts to coax the child into hitting the same button again were thwarted when the keys were dropped into the backseat footwell.
Firefighters then smashed a small triangular window at the rear of the vehicle and freed the child, unhurt, in around 15 minutes.
