Hibernian FC legend Jackie inspires PL’s sporty pupils
PRESTON LODGE High School held its annual Sports Presentation Awards evening last Thursday.
The guest speaker was Hibernian FC legend Jackie McNamara (pictured above, among some of the award-winners). The following pupils received awards:
Rugby – S1 Most Improved Player: Douglas Horne; S1 Player of the Year: Dean Cunningham; S2 Most Improved Player: Taylor McKillop; S2 Player of the Year: Jonathon Sked; S3 Most Improved Player: Liam Mack; S3 Player of the Year: Glen Muir.
Badminton – Most Improved Player: Scott Robertson; Player of the Year: Ross Hamilton. Basketball – Boys’ Most Improved Player: Charlie Leisk; Boys’ Player of the Year: David Kerr; Girls’ Most Improved Player: Amy Greig; Player of the Year : Kirsty Edwards.
Hockey – S1 Girls’ Most Improved Player: Cara Ross; S1 Girls’ Player of the Year: Amie Jane Russell; S2 Most Improved Player: Rachel Murdoch; S2 Player of the Year: Valerie Quinn; Senior Girls’ Most Improved Player: Leah Scott; Senior Girls’ Player of the Year: Debbie Brown; Boys’ Most Improved Player: James Porteous; Player of the Year: Sandy Nicol.
Football – Girls’ Most Improved Player: Rachel Murdoch; Girls’ Player of the Year: Megan Spence; S1 Most Improved Player: Euan Cameron; S1 Player of the Year: Michael Spence. S2 Most Improved Player: Ben Stewart; S2 Player of the Year: Declan Quinn. Senior Player of the Year: Nick Coull.
