MACK James (Jimmy) Tranent Kay wishes to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy and gestures of kindness shown to her following the sad loss of Jimmy. She offers her heartfelt thanks to the many relatives, friends, and neighbours who visited her home, telephoned, sent condolence cards and beautiful floral tributes, ex-colleagues and relations who travelled long distances to attend the Funeral Service and Burial, as well as those who made charitable donations, for everyone's kindness she is truly grateful. A special word of thanks to the Doctors, especially Dr. D. Sheridan, District Nurses, and all other staff at Tranent Medical Centre for their assistance and also the Macmillan Nurses for their help and support; the Marie Curie Hospice and Crookston Care Home for the dedicated care given to Jimmy; to all who participated at the Service and Burial, especially Rev. E. Wishart for her comforting and uplifting service and finally Lorraine and Stuart at Co-op Funeral Care for their professional arrangements. As it was impossible to thank everyone individually please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of Kay's deepest gratitude. The donations raised £500 for the Marie Curie Hospice and Cancer Research and Kay will donate an additional sum to those charities in memory of Jimmy. Gone from us his smiling face, his cheerful pleasant ways, The heart that won so many friends in bygone happy days, A life made beautiful by kindly deeds, a helping hand for others' needs, To a contented Life comes a happy end, he died as he lived, everyone's friend!
